GTA Boot Camp

The Graduate Teaching Assistant Boot Camp is a fully online workshop offered through Digital Learning that focuses on online course design and spans a range of topics that include myths and misconceptions in online courses, writing strong learning objectives (and why that is important), creating engaging course activities, working with technology and various tech tools, student support and accessibility in online courses, best practices in online course design and more.

Adjunct Boot Camp

This fully online and asynchronous professional development opportunity designed with adjunct instructors in mind introduces these instructors to a wide range of information, resources, and services that can help support their students and successfully navigate their time at the University of Arizona. This workshop introduces the information about UA; an introduction to effective course design; an overview of how courses are structured and mapped out; increasing engagement in online courses; adding personal touches to fully-developed online courses; student support and accessibility considerations; and best practices in online course design.

Peer Mentoring

Connected: A Peer Mentoring Program for Online Instruction provides University of Arizona faculty an opportunity to engage with colleagues across campus who share a passion for online teaching and learning. An offering of Digital Learning, this facilitated mentoring program is designed to help faculty grow professionally by focusing on common areas of interest within the field of online teaching and learning.
