Janet Smith

Bio
Janet Smith is the Assistant Director of Continuous Improvement for Digital Learning. She earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership in Higher Education from Northern Arizona University, a graduate certificate in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University, and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona.
Prior to joining the Univerisity, Janet taught elementary students for ten years. During her time as a classroom teacher, she served in a variety of leadership roles, mentored new teachers, and was a contributor to the Vail School District’s award-winning Beyond Textbooks initiative. She also spent several years teaching for a virtual elementary school, where she fell in love with online education.
In her free time, Janet enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and practicing and teaching yoga.
