Valentin R. Mancha
Valentín R. Mancha is the Assistant Director of Digital Communications for Digital Learning. In this role, he serves as the creative leader for a broad spectrum of visual design work, including screen-based media content, website layouts, and other design projects. Valentín believes in using the principles of design to facilitate an optimal experience for the end-user, combining a pleasing appearance along with effectively and impactfully conveying content. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts with a minor in Computer Information Systems from the University of Texas at El Paso. Valentín also earned a Master of Science in Graphic Information Technology (MS GIT), with a concentration in Human-Centered Design, UX/UI & Accessibility from Arizona State University.
Prior to joining Digital Learning, Valentin served as the Visual Designer for the UA’s Student Unions. In this position, he was responsible for creating the materials used in the Student Union’s many restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops located across campus. Before he came to the UA, Valentin worked with Sanders Wingo Advertising in El Paso, Texas, where he helped to create ad campaigns for national clients that included AT&T, Frito-Lay, Ford Motor Co., and the Susan G. Komen Org.
When he takes a break from working on the Digital Learning's many visual design projects, Valentin enjoys the outdoor life. He competes in bicycle races and has completed multiple half-marathons and half Ironman triathlons as well as full Ironman triathlons.
